KABARDISTANHORTI-PINRANG. Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Pinrang melalui Dinas Pertanian dan Hortikultura terus menggenjot pengembangan produk unggulan perdesaan melalui pengembangan beras organik di Kecamatan Lembang, Kabupaten Pinrang.
Sampai saat ini, tercatat dua desa yang menjadi pengembangan beras organik tersebut, yakni Letta dan Rajang. Kondisi geografis kedua lokasi tersebut yang dikelilingi gunung dengan sumber pengairan yang bersih menjadi keuntungan tersendiri untuk mengembangkan pertanian organik. Keelokan pemandangan sekitar persawahan menjadikan pula lokasi ini memiliki potensi sebagai objek wisata pertanian.
Produksi beras organik di Pinrang ini mulai digandrungi oleh banyak orang. Pentingnya menjaga pola hidup sehat secara berkelanjutan menjadikan beras organik Pinrang ini tak sekedar menjadi pilihan, melainkan gaya hidup.
Kepala Bidang Tanaman Pangan Dinas Pertanian Pinrang, Hj. Dahriah saat menghadiri penanaman padi organik di Desa Letta, Jumat (14/02/2020) mengakui bahwa pendampingan kepada petani terus dimaksimalkan, mulai penerapan teknologi ramah lingkungan, pembuatan pupuk hingga pasca panen produk beras organik semua telah dipersiapkan secara matang.
Sementara itu, Kepala Dinas Pertanian dan Hortikultura, Andi Tjalo Kerrang yang dihubungi terpisah, mengungkapkan bahwa beras organik tersebut telah mengantongi sertifikat. “Berasnya sudah bersertifikat, memang telah melewati pengawasan yang ketat, mulai dari sumber mata air, kandungan unsur hara tanah, pupuk, hingga proses pengemasan semuanya mendapat pengawasan yang sangat rinci untuk memastikan kualitas produk organik yang dihasilkan”. ungkapnya.
