KABARDISTANHORTI-PINRANG. Kendati masih ada beberapa bagian dalam tahap pengerjaannya, kegiatan Serasi di Kabupten Pinrang sudah mulai memberikan dampak positif terhadap lamanya genangan air pada areal persawahan. Hal tersebut sangat dirasakan petani terutama di Toe, Kelurahan Pammase, Kecamatan Tiroang.

Sebelum dilakukan pengerukan di beberapa saluran pembuang, genangan pada areal persawahan bertahan 10 – 15 hari, kini setelah dilakukan pengerukan, genangan di Toe sudah surut dalam waktu 3 hari. Meskipun untuk areal persawahan di Boki dan Marawi masih terdapat genangan, namun terpantau air cukup lancar menuju pembuang Kariango.

Bupati Pinrang, H. Andi Irwan Hamid yang berkunjung ke lokasi Serasi di Kecamatan Tiroang mengatakan, semakin cepat surutnya genangan tidak lepas dari mulai dilakukannya normalisasi di beberapa saluran pembuang. “Kondisi saat ini menjadi bukti bahwa program normalisasi melalui kegiatan Serasi berdampak positif bagi petani. Namun kita akan terus upayakan penanganan beberapa lokasi lainnya, karena genangan tidak dapat langsung surut, yang kita hadapi ini adalah alam” ungkapnya.

Kunjungan Bupati Pinrang tersebut, didampingi oleh Kadis Pertanian dan Hortikultura, Andi Tjalo Kerrang, Kadis PSDA, Muhammad Jaenal, turut hadir di lokasi kunjungan, Camat Tiroang, Rusli, para Lurah, BPP, PPL dan petani.

Lebih lanjut H. Andi Irwan Hamid mengungkapkan bahwa pihaknya saat ini sangat memprioritaskan penanganan banjir yang sering menggenangi areal persawahan saat musim hujan. Sementra itu, para petani di lokasi kunjungan mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Bupati Pinrang atas bantuan-bantuan, terutama perbaikan saluran irigasi dan saluran pembuang. (JP)
